Course Description:  This 2-hour online Infection Prevention and Control course is for barbers and cosmetologists in the beauty trade industry.  The trade industry includes all beauty trade professionals – Cosmetologists, Braiders, Barbers, Nail Technicians, Tattoo Artist, Massage Therapist, Facial and Make-up Artists, Piercing, etc.

Overall, this 2-hour infection prevention and control program for barbers and cosmetologists should provide a comprehensive understanding of the importance of proper infection prevention and control practices in the industry.

By the end of the program, participants should have a clear understanding of the risks associated with poor infection prevention and control practices, and the steps they can take to maintain a safe and healthy work environment for themselves and their clients.   There are 8 modules in this program.

Outcome:  All persons successfully completing the training with a post test score of at least 75% will receive a certificate from the training platform endorsed by the Ministry of Health.  This certificate must be displayed on the salon premises.   A revised curriculum will be offered annually.

Certificate:  Regardless of when the course is taken, and or certificate printed, this certificate will EXPIRE on December 31st of the year taken.
